I liked the DNA feature and the 365 updates. Rosters, line-ups get updated daily.(but i read that ratings were not, have to check if that was addressed by the recently released patch) I liked the graphics more and the gameplay is improved. My co-worker got it too and we've played a bunch of very good online games already. Online game is easy virtually no lag at all (PS3 using wireless connection) and it is easy to find someone you can play against. The pick-in-roll control is very nice feature and a lot of plays for both offense and defense. I liked the signature moves and are different from each players (ie. Tony Parker floater is different from CP3's). Overall, i'm very happy and satisfied with this game. My only gripe is that the game is still in 720p not 1080p but still looks great on my 52" HDTV. 4 of 5 people found the following review helpful: Better than expected, = Fun: This review is from: NBA Live 09 (Video Game) The last NBA live i bought was 06 for xbox. The last few ive rented but have not been impressed, so therfore held off on purchasing any. This year i felt i HAD to get an update and am pleased to announce they have finally moved forward instead of backwards. Ive gone w/ the ps3 version this time because i never got a 360, but the online mode and new DNA seem to be alright. NEVERTHELESS, if your like me and have been holding off the last few years, you wont be disappointed by this years incarnation of Live. 4 of 5 people found the following review helpful:  Solid Effort., = Fun: This review is from: NBA Live 09 (Video Game) EA has vastly improved this year's version of Live. As the previous reviewer stated, the graphics and announcing are amazing. I think the 365 feature will be amazing as well once the season gets started (it may bump the game to a 5 star level). The only complaint is the players lack of continuation to the basket on some fast breaks and the somewhat "plodding" nature of some player movements. I have owned 2K and Live over the last several years. All in all, this version is a solid 4 star effort by EA (4.5 - 5 star depending on how 365 works). |
