The n00b Warriors (Book One) A blog started the forever war--a global war set in the not so distant future between two groups (the Rebels and the Coco's).

Dylan Austin has grown up with the war being a constant background to his life; his dad has just returned from war missing a leg; his older sister is missing and presumed dead from the war; and all through school war has been embedded into everything they teach. Teens have been raised on educational war video games, and their minds are polluted with the idea th

This book had an interesting premise, but it just didn't hit home for me. It felt like I was reading a book that was written by a mid level high school kid. The Editor (if there was one) was out to lunch. There are so many missing, incorrect, and misspelled words it was difficult to read at times. There was a huge "something" that was missing throughout the entire book that I couldn't quite put my finger on until I started another book directly after I finished this one. It was the lack of details. People in this book just went from A to B, and ended up at this point or that point...but there was rarely a detailed description of what anything looked like, or how they got there, or what they saw on the way; which you definitely need when reading a book.
This is the first book of at least one more. Being a fast read, and if the 2nd book is cheap (like the . I paid for this one) I might get it just to see what happens to the storyline. But I don't think I'd recommend it to anyone unless it's really cheap and you've got a few hours to kill reading a sub-par novel.

I downloaded this book on my kindle for android application yesterday. A very fun read (fished it in less than 24 hours). I liked the concept of the book and I found the characters to be interesting and engaging. I hope to see a second book form this series soon.

Quick read - start to finish 4 hours for me - couldn't put it down.

This book had an amazing premise a war over video games that began with blog arguments. The author created a pseudo world that children fight and die while leaders are corrupt and power hungry. But that is not what drives this story - the story is driven by characters who are everyday people put in extraordinary circumstances.
This book has some grammar errors and spelling errors but for me it did not detract from the storyline.
In the beginning the author's writing is choppy and events jump quickly with little to no transitions between action scenes, but it is part of the charm of telling the story from a scared boy's perception. As the boy matures the writing begin's to smooth out and details are processed in a more mature way.

I emailed the author asking about book 2 and will be excited to read it!
